I love this painting. Absolutely adore it. It means a lot
to me. I would have a very hard time parting with it as of yet.
The first painting I did after the five year dry spell. I had a
fit of inspiration one day and realized I needed to get a very large
piece of wood to paint on very quickly. Drove to Home Depot and
bought it without stopping to consider how I would get it home in my
little car. Four people stopped to watch me carry it out and
asked how, exactly, did I plan to fit it in my little car? I
said, "In the backseat?" They shook their heads. I said,
"In the trunk?" Again, they shook their heads. Before I
knew it, I had six burly men helping me strap this thing to my roof,
one of which donated the strap and before I could snap my fingers or
blink or even think to ask for help, it was done. I came home and
puked this painting out in about an hour and a half and just like
that, the dry spell was over and I was painting again.
